I think the blue, the black, the gold laced, and the second buff with the rounded crest are probably all females. Not sure on the rest, except the mixed one with feathered legs, which is a cockerel.

Thank you! I know the last one isn't a polish but we've been curious about thay one...we have 2 Americauna Frizzles and they both looked so different that we were certain one was a roo and one a pullet buy the bigger the one pictured here got (originally thought was a hen) we questioned ummm nope seems like a roo so I wanted to ask opinions. I'm new to sexinh, how do you determine this one is a roo?

The deeper red coloring at the shoulders is the immediate giveaway that it's a cockerel. Also the comb has that swollen look and has some pink.

Thank you both for the info. It's helpful!
Polish, due to their tiny small horn like combs and lack of wattles in bearded varieties, are much more difficult to sex than the frizzle boy you have. Right now I am using crest shape more than anything to sex those. Females have more rounded crests, males are more wonky in shape, often with feathers sticking straight up in front at the early stages.

Blue - pullet
Black - pullet
- Golden laced - id need to see more pictures, but feathering is going to suggest a cockerel. A GL Polish cockerel has very distinct coloring - black tail base and black hackles. Both that are consistent here. But, a young chickens feathers can obviously change.
- Lighter buff - cockerel
- White - unsure, could go either way. More pictures would help.
- Darker buff/white crest - pullet
- not sure on the last mix. Not my forte, but coloring and comb suggest cockerel.

As a side note these birds have some nice head pieces. With that said, you'll want to consider getting them use to trimming feathers from their eyes. I usually wrap ours in a towel so they can't move, and trim only enough to where they can see. This will also help keep their eyes cleaned and free of infection. Make sure to stay away from the feather base or it will bleed and cause pain.
