looking for show quality chicken breeds

sorry just seen where you asked about what i have. i never seem to get every breed listed LOL.

orpingtons - lemon cuckoo english, and american buff. may have buff laced in the spring
plymouth rocks, white and partridge - expecting a trio of SQ barred.
heritage rhode island reds, light brahmas, basque, crested legbars, silver laced wyandottes, russian orloff, salmon faverolle, dominique (spring waiting on cockerel to mature), black araucanas, turkens, white crested blue polish, dark and white laced red cornish, black australorp, black giant, silver phoenix.

bantams:
silver and gold sebrites, millie fleure d'uccles, silver quail d'uccles, white leghorns, black rosecombs, partridge wyandottes, black blue buff and white silkies,
and old english in the following colors: white, black, brassy blue, lemon blue, self blue/lavender, dark blue, blue splash, silver duckwing, fawn silver duckwing, black breasted red, fawn red, cuckoo, creole, spangled, and quail

im sure i have forgotten something LOL. not all of these are show ready, im working with several breeds, and constantly adding new.

some are, but there is a trick to dealing with hatchery stock.

order from a reputable hatchery, usually small ones are better (as a rule of thumb).

order 50 to choose 1 or 2. breed at least 50 from a pair and select 4 pullets and one cockerel.

remember that just because you breed to show quality chickens together - does not (always) make show quality chickens.
 
never thought of it like that! and unfortunately i just dont have the money at the moment to go into major breeding operations. i would like to sometime in the near future though. but youre chickens are of breeder quality and dont most hatchery stock birds right? what would you say is the best looking breed you have
