Teeny Silkie babies coming in days from Cackle Hatchery (around 6/1/2013) I was so happy for a few days until just minutes ago my husband read online sites saying they do not mail well and may not survive. We have everything ready for them and 15 other babies. But I'm only worried about my Silkies. I'm worried about their survival. Is there anybody out there with Silkies who can offer any advice or support. Am I worried needlessly I hope but time is of the essence.

I only joined 22 days ago and we love our 4 newest family members - 2 barred rock and 2 cinnamon queen (we think) all 10 weeks old. I look forward to the day when I can give advice or support. Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

Whenever chicks are shipped, there are some dangers. This time of year the dangers are somewhat less unless the temperatures become excessive. Relax - this is outside of your control. Good luck for a safe shipment.
