EZbird, yours is a porcelian, not a self blue. Yours looks young, you will probably start seeing spots on it soon.

Porcelian is mille fleur but with lavender genes which dilute the golden color to a pale straw color, and the black to pale blue.

He has no mille fleur pattern at all. It's solid in color. His head, neck, wings, and tail has a bluish grey color. His back is beige. I did notice today that he's growing large new round ended feathers on his wings and his tail. I hope he grows a nice tail. I can't seem to get a color correct pic of my roo.

But he's looking more like this roo, pic from feathersite: listed as a Lavender roo

He's already crowing, but not going nuts with it. It reminds me of a goose honking.

He does it only once or twice in the morning to wake me up and let him out. He's such a loveable roo.

Guitartists, better pic and it is a self blue, very pretty. I want a pair!

D'uccles are my favorite and the cochin are clowns in the chicken world.

Really? He sure does look like a porcelain to me

Very straw colored and with what looks like lavender in the areas where there would be black like on his feet and on some of his wing feathers. But I guess we'll see once he gets older!
