Looking for thoughts on this hen's color genetic makeup

The potential parents were posted and the project explained, as well as other offspring pictured that came out of that pen. How I breed them is really none of your business. The post really had nothing to do with the breed itself..it was a color question. If you don't have helpful advice, I would have to ask that you move on to the next breed/genetics question to take your criticisms and condescending remarks there.

I didn't criticise anything, I apologised for making an incorrect assumption. As far as I knew it was not rude to ask what what was expected from the pen. I does not seem outrageous to assume that,if someone has been breedig for some time, that one might be expecting something in particular from a particular mating. When asking for an opinion regarding the colour it is helpful to know what was being aimed for &/or what was expected.

Please excuse my ignorance regarding what is or is not usual for US type araucanas. Most people do not take such offense at being asked to educate others.

Hehe Cammy. Don't feel bad. I looked at this bird hundreds of times and questioned her genes over and over. I didn't even realize I had mottling in that group until this year, so imagine the surprise when it suddenly showed up. That roo is around 6 years old.

Just goes to show how easily stuff can hide in color genes. Crazy!
