Looking for Unisex names for a light grey auracana chick!!

Personally, I name chickens after planets, constellations, galaxies, space anomalies... I know that's really cheesy but it's easy to find one that suits that chicken. Fornax and Messier are some of my favourites at the moment :)

I don't think that cheesy. My (supposedly barn) cats were named Dill, Mint, and Parsley when we got them so now all cats we have will have Herb names, or maybe Spice names too. I think that my mom, who I let name most of the chickens, has decided that all Silkies will have baked goods type names. So one of my new Silkie cross hens is now named "Coconut Macaroon."

Theme names are fun!

Teriaki, lemon, orange, nugget, fried, baked, all followed by chicken of course.

We actually have a rooster named Lemon. Because he is a Lemon Orpington! I'm very original. :clap

But I agree with you. I don't usually name anything until I know what sex it is, and even then it's more of a differential-type name, like Big Cayuga and Little Cayuga. Especially since unless the differences between that chicken and another chicken are really obvious, my husband isn't going to remember who I'm talking about anyway.
