We've always had chickens on the family farm

I have about 40 chickens right now

The chickens I have are pretty mixed. Not sure any of them would meet specific breed standards... lol

I enjoy hiking and binging on spotify and youtube

I have a son, 2 parents, 5 siblings and 6 nephews/nieces. A Big Farming Family.

I found BYC while looking austrolorp breeders in who I could buy from. I joined this community because I don't know where to start looking and most importantly how I take care of the chickens in a way that makes sense financially.

There are many knowlegable and helpful people here, who will answer your questions without being judgemental. I would start by checking the articles section regarding any question you may have right now. If you feel you still have not found answers, start a thread, so others can help. Be specific when starting a thread so others won't pass it by because they aren't sure what you are asking. I hope you enjoy your time here with us.
