Verlin, welcome to the site and thanks for your kind words! We have been (and continue to be working) really hard on the main www.backyardchickens.com site and the new forum.

Help with anything? Sure, what are you good at? We always need helpful people to assist in answering questions on the forum. If you've got a skill, we can probably find a way to use it! (that goes for anybody reading this).

Rob, I think Verlin is great with words. Just go back & read some of his posts on EZBYC and you will see what I mean. I love to read his posts. The only bad thing is he don't post as often as we all would like him to

Hi friends,

All of you really make me feel a bit humble, thank you very much for all the kind words, it truly means lots to me.

My wife Carol has been trying to get me to start that book about my special little buddy, Grace. Even C.C. has hounded me since he hatched to get that book written, but I don't even keep my personal Websites up to date like I should. But I really do have plans to get started with the book, because if anything ever happened to this little scoundrel it would be very hard for me to write it then.

I know there are many here who do not know who Grace is, so you can check out these links to a couple small Webpages I made for him & all our pictures on WebShots.

The main reason I have not been posting very much is that I am actually not doing very good with all the medical things. It has been really tough for me for quite a while now & I get very little accomplished during the day. I don't even spend as much time with Grace as I usually do, although he does get my attention 2-3 times each day.

I would try to see if I can be of some use on the board to help out, just let me know what you might like me to try. If it gets where I can't do it in a responsible manner, I'll let you know.

I am a fairly accomplished WebMaster, self taught, but like I said I haven't done much with it for some time. I maintain 4 different Websites of my own, but there are only 2 that are much of anything right now.

I have maintained this one, Delirious Delusion Custom Kites, for about 10 years now. We have been making custom designed kites since then, but had to quit making them because of my health issues. We hope to get back into it some yet this year.

I don't think I would be as good at helping with chicken health issues though. I do pretty good with my little flock, but I usually have to ask Diana, dlhunicorn, from the BYC board, for advise, she is great for sure! Well so are all the other mods, I have received help in so many ways this past few years & it truly has been golden & my little chicks love all of them too.

So this is going to be the new, main board for Backyard Chickens? The migration to the Yuku board is dead? This is what I get for not being around very often. Sorry!

Anyway...I probably shouldn't even be writing all this tonight, I'm always about ready to crash in a heap this time of day. What I have said probably doesn't even make much sense does it?

I can't even begin to express my thanks for the slings for my poor darling Angel bird....they've worked so well for those that came after Angel...(like Squishy)

Carol, you up to making a turkey-size sling? I have a six month old gal who broke a leg at six weeks...I'm rehabing her, but she loves getting out in the public eye...

However, she weighs about 8 pounds....
