Looking into getting quail....

I See A Cuple Of Key Points Here

1. Kids
2. Handling
3. Housing Space

I Definately Recommend Coturnix And Not Buttons. Buttons Are Lil Spaz Cases And Fly Very Well. Coturnix Arent Strong Fliers, And If Pinnioned Can Barely Fly At All. They Are Also About The Most Calm In Demeanor And Would Be The Best Choice For Handle-able Quail Speces. As Far As No Males? Does The Hoa Prevent You From Owning Male Pets Of Any Kind? I'd Think That Would Be Sexual Discrimination On The Animal Level...

Ok, Well I lived with an HOA, but recently moved, and my males (about 10-15 of them) sound like local song-birds and my neighbor was the Pres of the HOA and she hadn't said anything to me. Oh and I just cleaned a room where I kept some birds indoors for a like a week..... Can I say Dust!

This, of course, is not illegal. If it were illegal, then cities that allow hens would have to allow roosters.

Thanks so much for the info! We ended up with 6 coturnix females (at least, I'm pretty sure I have 6 since I used coloring to identify them). They are about 6w old.

I'll have to take some pics tomorrow and have everyone help me figure out what colors they are.
