I am Steve and live in the Florida panhandle. I am so new to having chickens that I don't have any yet. I have family living near me on the same piece of land, and we all eat eggs. I like the idea of not having to go buy them. I am also new to gardening and learning more from my mistakes than from my successes. I have spent 48 years as an aircraft mechanic and am looking to one day soon hang it up and remain at home learning to support my family and myself as much as possible. After looking at all the search engine results on the topic chickens, here I am.
