Looking to buy an incubator

If you're dealing with fluctuations you want something that's good at responding and holding that heat in. I like the HovaBators, personally. If you want that small size, I'd say at least a NurtureRight 360, everyone loves those.
Cool thanks!

I cut the hole in the side as a window then realized that was a dumb idea so I out the styrofoam piece back in and made one on top. It did kind of come in handy though with the temp swings because if it got a little too hot/ humid I could open it a little or I could shut it a little usually overnight when it's cooler and I need to keep the humidity in. What's hard is that temp and humidity are fine and will stay the same for hours then all of a sudden humidity is up to 80. I have one more live egg in there I may just take a chance and put it under my broody hen. The door is open all the way because humidity is too high

Mom has one of these and has had great success KEBONNIXS 12 Egg Incubator with Humidity Display, Egg Candler, Automatic Egg Turner, for Hatching Chickens https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0838VM7C9/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_74F5CDM4X0MBF1W97VYH
From what I can tell, kebonnix has very inconsistent quality between individual units. I know someone who has it and loves it, and you do too, but I’ve heard a couple people complain about it, that they have to keep it wrapped in coats or blankets to keep it consistent. I think the company over all probably has bad qualiity control, and you can get a good one or bad one, but won’t know until you’ve tried a hatch. I’d say it’s worth a go if you have free eggs to try it out.

For the price and the features it's a great deal. It seems like the latest reviewer liked it better than his brinsea. I have a mini advance 2 and in hindsight if that was out at the time i would have got it as my starter. Seeing it in person the quality is pretty decent. But if you want something that's in the middle upper tier of small incubators the king suro is much better than the brinsea,NR 360 and the keboniks. Nobody says this either but the plastic on the nr 360 is thin also.

Good to know thanks!

I am in Australia and cannot get the nurture right 360. I would have liked to try that one, i have read so many good reviews about it. I have to incubate in a shed outside where temperature and humidity fluctuate. I have tried many incubators including a diy one with mixed success. I finally landed on the brinsea ovation 28 advance. It was more expensive than i wanted to spend but hatch rates have continuously been 95% with it. It has been set and forget for me and i have put as few as 6 eggs to as many as 28 eggs in. I also love how well i can watch them hatching with this incubator. Only annoying part is cleaning the lid and fan after each hatch. A bit fiddly. All the best with the one you choose.
