Looking to purchase Serama hens or a rooster near the Gainesville, Florida area.

Hello! Our Serama rooster has died and our only hen is very sad and lonely now. Can anyone near the Gainesville, Florida area help us out with finding her a companion? She’s not eating much now and has stopped laying eggs.

I’m sorry about this. I suggest you add multiple companions, as it allows for new things like pecking order to arise. When you add new birds, you must quarantine for a minimum of 6 weeks, in order to keep both groups healthy. Unfortunately I am not in your area, but Craigslist offers tons of birds which you may be interested in.
