Looking to Rehome 2 Roosters IMMEDIATELY, and possibly 20 hens in 2 weeks

My name is Jef and my wife and I are looking to Rehome 2 Roosters immediately to a good home somewhere near but outside of the City of Joliet in Illinois. We received an Animal Control complaint about our having Roosters and Hens on our property. They have given us 2 weeks to have them relocated or face fines and ticketing.

If you are interested or can offer information about how to legally fight for the right to keep our family pets please respond quickly and leave your contact info of how we can get the birds to you.

Roosters are approximately 6 months old and are either free or what ever you can afford or are willing to pay. One is a beautiful Tutkin and the other is a Golden Laced Wyendotte,

Sorry for what you are dealing with. Have you checked the 'Local chicken laws and ordinances and how to change them' in the Raising Backyard Chickens forum? Perhaps something there may be of help. Good luck in resolving this.

Post on the Illinois thread, so others may rally around your group. Some may have experience with this. Others may be able to take some of your birds. Does Crest Hill allow poultry?

Crest Hill does allow them. The funny thing is that the zoning laws have the exact same wording but here, chickens are defined as "farm animals" and there they define them as "pets".
