My 21 week lavendar Ameraucana rooster has really loose kind of explosive poop! The other hens seem fine, just my roo. Is this just a he’s not eating grit issue, or does it look like something else? Feed is the same, but we have given sunflowers more lately because they’re growing in our garden. I’ve not noticed any other symptoms or anything. Also the red spot in the poop is a pebble, not blood.

Check to make sure his crop is emptying overnight.

If possible, taking a sample of poop to your vet to check for worms would be a good idea.
I’d be surprised if there were worms, I had just used a dewormer maybe 2 months ago. I guess it’s possible…

We used Safeguard Goat dewormer based on our vets rec. and dosed it based on their weight at the time we gave it.
Oh good!
Since you have a vet, can you take a sample to them and have them run a fecal float to see if worms and/or coccidiosis are part of the problem.

Even though you did deworm him a while back, it's possible they could still be a contributing factor.

See that he's drinking and eating his normal feed, his crop is emptying and that he has no lice/mites.
