Loosing baby chicks, 5 so far

Nope. Ours are from Meyer. (Didn’t want to put them on blast for something which could be unrelated to the hatchery).
That's good(?) to hear. I was worried that it was an issue with Mt Healthy and that I made the wrong choice ordering from them or something but I'm glad that's not the case. It's still very strange.

Definitely. We have eggs in the incubator and some eggs under chickens at the moment, so want to clear this up prior to them hatching in case there’s something environmental or contagious. :( Saving the rest of the chicks would be nice too.

Yes, I know what you mean. Each one that passes just makes me more worried for the other ones. I lost my flock of 8 last year to a fox so losing another entire group would be pretty devastating. No deaths here today for the first time, which is a good sign. I wish you and your chicks the best, and I hope everything works out. I'll be sure to keep you updated if I learn anything!

I got a batch from Ohio and the same thing has been happening to me (mine were from Meyer too). I think it is USPS honestly. They are either getting too hot or cold and once they settle they have a burst but the damage has already been done. I got 5 Wednesday. Lost 1 Wednesday night, two Thursday and 1 Friday. The last seems ok but then the others were doing ok until they weren’t.
