I recently got some chicks and they are 10 days today. I have 1 chick that reminds me of the hunchback of Notre Dame. She can eat, drink, walk and jump around. She poops fine, can hold her head up and look both ways. She seems to stay by herself alot and stretch her legs and wings alot. She can flap her wings and hop down from my hand. I don't know if the pictures show it well, but was hoping for some suggestions because I don't think this is wry neck.

Ok that's good. I don't have any more ideas but it's possible she's just like this or she'll grow out of it as she gets older. As long as she can eat drink and act normal I think she's ok. Unless someone has a better idea than me:)

She has a normal full crop in her right chest, but she does look a little different. Does she seem to have any free air under her skin on one side? They can sometimes get bumped and suffer a leaking air sac which can make them look lopsided. That can be needled and pressed out if it is severe and causing breathing problems. There are common spinal and breast bone deformities called spondylopathies. It is also known as roach back or kinky back.

She seems to breathe just fine. It's fine with me if it's a deformity cause I'll still keep her. Just worried it might cause problems when she reaches laying age. Just want to do the best I can for her. Don't know why but we call her Jr. I have a vet that treats birds like parrots so I'm gonna call and see if she will see chickens

Saw the kinky back pic. That's not so bad. As long as she can eat, drink and walk then we are cool
