Still don't know if we have male or female chickens. They are about 10-12 weeks old now and one of them is is a very bad way.

This morning, one of the "kids" had a snake. We tried in vain to discover what kind it was. Dad looked at a text message picture and decided it was likely a coral snake. I searched pictures and found nothing helpful. Anyway, the boys (both 10) came to me a while later with one of the "girls" who looked all floppy and half-dead. We brought her into the house and she keeps flopping around but that is the extent of her movement.

Mom called the vet and described the snake. They think it is a corn snake and said that we could bring it in but it is unlikely they can do much. However, if any of the others get sick, we should bring them in to be euthanized and sent to see what it is. Everyone else looks fine, so far, even though they got caught in the rain too this AM.

Having 2 rowdy 10 y/o who admitted to running around with the birds, and think it could be possible she got hurt, they are relatively certian it did not happen. Pray for her, y'all. I'll let you know if anything changes.

Ooohhh, here's hoping she recovers and is able to join the others. Also, hoping none of the others get sick! Let us know how things work out!
