losing a hen a week

I was recently given 6 red sex link hens from a friend of a friend. I put leg rings on them so new which were my new gals. All looked fit and well apart from one which was very flacid and barely moved put her to bed in spare coop on her own with some food and water close by but the following day she'd died. Since then ive lost 2 more of the new hens in the same way about a week apart, noticed today that one ive had for a while is doing same thing, does this sound like a disease or natural death or maybe the cold as its winter

That sounds like an infectious disease. I would suspect Mareks disease or coccidiosis. Coccidiosis symptoms are lethargy, paleness, diarrhea, poor appetite, and puffing up.
