My spanish black had babies about 2 weeks ago. Today when I went to feed them, I found 1 dead, and another barely able to walk. It followed its mother, as best it could, but within the next half hour, it looked like it was barely alive. There is a 3rd one with walking issues too. Should I separate them from the mother, is she stepping on them? I tried putting her out, but then everybody was crying.
I also lost a barnvelder hen , in a separate area of the coop, I held her yesterday and she fell off of my hand. I cleaned the coop out today, and found a mice nest under the rubber mat. Could they have eaten mouse poop?
My blue cochin hen also looks gimpy and unbalanced.
Then one of our free ranging muscovys was having trouble walking, I separated him, and even while sitting, he looked dizzy. He belongs to my out of town daughter, and there are almost no vets who will do poultry. I cannot lost the muscovy.. Help.
