Losing feathers

Hi there,

My mystic onyx chicken (one of five) suddenly started losing feathers around her neck, head, and cloaca. At first I thought maybe she was molting but none of my other chickens are losing feathers.

Do you have a rooster?If not I would check her for mites or lice.How old are each of your chickens?

One of my girls molted by herself before, so they don't necessarily do it together. does she have feathers missing anywhere else?(Brest, underwing, backend ETC)

She's molting, so completely normal! Chicken won't always molt at the same time.

she definitely looks like she is molting, but i would still check for mites.

See all the pin feathers on her neck? She's molting. I did a double take when I saw she had 5 toes on the front foot. LOL
