Losing Feathers

We have a Barred Rock who has lost the feathers on her chest and bottom, skin is red biut it doesn't appear that she is being pecked by the other chickens. The other Barred Rock's are fine, we are new at this so any advise is appreciated.

We also have a few RI Red's who lost some feathers by their tails a few months ago and were pecking themselves. We started using Schneiders Herbal Solution which has stopped them from pecking and cleared up bleeding/scabs but the feathers have not grown back yet. How long does it typically take to grow feather back.

Are the online bird vet's legit?

Next moult they will be fine. My girls look like a bunch of drunks from a cheap Vegas lounge right now... All scruffy and missing clumps of feathers here and there.. If they are eating and drinking and doing their "chicken stuff" then they are probably fine...

I have a few that are moulting, but also realized that they have mites/lice. You may want to check under their wings and around their vents for creepy crawlies

I too have a Barred Rock hen that within maybe the last week has lost TONS of feathers. All of her tail feathers are gone and under stomach, some wing feathers too. She seems to be fine, but we will look her over for the "crawlies". I guess some can molt more dramatically than others in the same flock so I will assume that she is doing well as longs as she eats and drinks. Good luck with your chicken!!
