losing pullet due to ??? please help :(

The link posted above was written by me last autumn. The bird in question was cured thanks to Tetracycline and has been super healthy ever since

My pullet that is currently sick is 5 months old, I got her in December and she was all fine up until about a month ago.

It is not the same bird, and the symptoms are completely different.

Right now she is slumped in the coop, her eyes shut tight - when she tries to open them I can see her pupils are very dilated and it's like she's blinded by the light. Her breathing is accelerated as is her heartbeat. I'm thinking the Tempra is poisoning her so no more doses, and I'll just wait and see what happens. She's been on too many meds the past month, what if it's some kind of organ failure now??

My point in listing that link is that even tho your other bird seems to be cured there are illnesses that they remain carriers of and will continue to infect your other birds even tho she is not sick anymore. Unless you had her tested, which I don't believe you did, there is no way to know what she was sick with and may still be a carrier of.

Anything is possible, I guess... but I'm not sure how this helps identify what my dying pullet has and how to help her.

She has none of the symptoms my other girl had months ago.

Anyone?
