Losing the battle to bumblefoot

4 of my 5 chickens have Bumblefoot, I’m treating 2 right now. I got the kernel out of one foot but the others have no kernel, and the scabs keep coming back. I am also having a hard time keeping the wound clean as sand from the run keeps getting in the bandages and on the wound. I clean the wound out and reapply everything, but the sand just keeps getting in. I’m at wits end.

Welcome. I have dealt with this 3-times. You should use tricide neo and soak once a day for 7-minutes. No need to bandage. Also, with that many getting bumblefoot - you should determine why?

I just switched to sand in the run, I think that will help. Do you not have to do the removal with the tricide neo? Or do you still need to do the scab removal?
