Hello all! I have a small flock of what we’re supposed to be Buff Orpingtons but I think they are more of a cross. They were hatched last April. I have one hen who is losing her feathers and appears to be losing some weight. She is primarily losing them on her head and neck. We do not have them housed with a rooster. She is still scratching and curious and appears to eat when we bring food out. She has what appear to be sores on her neck. Would like an opinion if it looks more like bullying, mites or something else. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

We had a similar experience with our chickens when we added some to the coop. Neck and tail feathers were primary areas, some on the head also. I was told of a product that I got at Farm and Home. It's called peck no more. That is what we use and it seems to be working. Hope that is your problem, and I hope it works for you too.
