Loss of weight and diarrhea

Hi..Am from Kenya,tsavo;a newbiee.I have six hens and one rooster.One of the hens has just finished a month since hatching and the chicks are in perfect condition but the hen has lost weight...what could be the problem.And also the rest of the chickens have diarrhea..??Any problem i should be concerned about?tThank you.

Welcome to BYC! I'm glad you joined us! Weight loss and diarrhea is a sign of internal parasites. I would recommend posting in the "Emergencies/Diseases/Injuries and Cures" section. Hope your hen gets well.

You hen may also be thin because - they don't eat well when they are sitting on eggs.

@drumstick diva..i got some wheat grains and i would love to add this into their food.will it be of any help or should i add something else

I woud suspect possible worms, based on the fact that the hen is underweight and the other chickens have diarrhea.

What is available for worming chickens in your country?
