Hallo Everybody,
I have a bit of a problem. I have a silkie Margo and another white chicken she is small with a bushy tail not sure of her breed. Both chickens seem to be going thin and despite both eating well and drinking they do not seem to be putting on any weight. Also Ruby is a white chicken but recently the feathers on her head are turning grey. What can I feed them to promote weight gain and why is Ruby going grey. Both are about 1 year old. They are both free range and have the run of the garden but get put away safely in the chicken house at night. They are not lovers of household scraps. There is no interest in pasta, potatoes or anything. Quite fussy little ladies I must add. Any advice will be gratefully received. Thankyou

Have you had a fecal float done to determine if they have worms and if so, what kind so you would know how to worm them? Free ranged chickens are more prone to worms than penned chickens.
