Lost 10 cockerels while I was out of town

Maybe you can have one of your kids go in it and catch that cuckoo silkie back for me

That's a good thing! I saw a show on them and then did some research online... thank god there are none around where I live! They set a dog on a pig

It's really sad, and has been for the most part outlawed..... but like other things, still persists, especially in the South.

Here is a pic from the chicken scramble. It was too dark so the other pics didn't turn out and there was lots of dust. As a clarification, only kids 5 and under could participate. My two year old was chasing them around for a bit but got frustrated and just stood in the middle and watched the chaos. My 4 year old chased them around until the last one and still didn't get one and was really upset. I wasn't that upset, I didn't want more roosters around anyway.

I checked in the chicken cages for the roos I donated before the scramble and only saw one of my birds (rlw cornish cockerel) which means that the others went the night before (there are two nights of the rodeo). Afterwards, I tracked down the person who ended up with it and she happened to be a lady I met and talked with earlier that night who is the lady in charge of ordering chicks at one of the local feed stores. I gave her and her husband some advice on what to do with them. Glad to see he went to some nice people.

Do you think people are buying the poo I'm spewing?

How about this take?
"It was good excercise for the children and the roosters and a good time
was had by all"

"Next up - Chicken chasing dogs. Don't worry folks. We filed down the dog's
teeth so they can't puncture the chickens."

You didn't even get to see the mutton busting, calf riding, sheep dressing, pig scramble, ribbon tying (on a goat), barrel racing (on a dead broke kids' horse), goat roping, ummmm.....that's all I can remember. All sounds cruel and unusual, doesn't it?
