lost 2 and rooster lost tail

Hi,

Sad, but we lost two hens; the rooster lost his tail and wondering if it will grow back.

whatever it was left one hen in the field, but the other was gone and the white rooster tails was clearly visible.

Sorry your first post is about losing your hens!!

Could you give us some more information? Where do you live? What did the hen you found look like (sorry to ask)?? Feathers around?? Head gone? Any part eaten?? Any predators that you know of in your area?? Do you free range?? Do you lock them up at night? When (what time of day) did you find the dead hen??

where the rooster used to have the "rooster tail" is just a red spot.

re: hen, well she was in the field, with no signs of harm but pretty stiff when i spoted her in the morning.

sorry for your lose.you can put corola cream on his tail to help it not get sun burn and heal.i hope i speeled the name right.you can buy it at feed store has ahorse picture on it.

Yes, his tail will grow back. If he has bloody spots, put neoporin on them. I am assuming that just the feathers were pulled out, not the flesh.
