Badgers do occasionally take and mess with poultry. However, they usually dig into or bulldoze through fences and runs to get to birds. I don't think I've heard of badgers climbing fence to get to birds.

Well, for the last 5 nights in a row, this critter has robbed my trap and gotten away. Baited it with cat food last night. This morning the cat food tin was gone, the trap was sprung, and nothing was in it. I think I'm going to have to build a bigger trap.

Good news is it is the bait rather then your birds!
