Lost 8 chickens

I am sorry you feel I was harsh.
I am not berating the OP. I did not intend anyone to feel that way.

Many many people will read this thread.
I am a plain spoken (sometimes read as blunt) person and was simply being to the point.
People need to know the laws when they are dealing with wild animals. Some one here in Maine is in big trouble for shooting a Bald Eagle. And saying they didn't know it was against the law will not get them out of trouble. When I lived in So Maine we had a terrible time with red-headed woodpeckers. We had wooden houses. I was gonna get a BB gun and take them out. I happened to look on the internet and found they are protected by Federal Law. I ain't messing with the Feds.

I made sure I read what to do and I watch a lot of north woods law. I seen that about the bald eagle sad

It was a part of the eve I didn't see the gap he could get into I also wouldn't of thought he would get up there with nothing to grab on to.
When I had to relocate my chickens to a barn because of a crazy windstorm I was totally freaked out because all the eves and the tops of the table ends aren’t predator proofed... they were only in there two nights, and the coons don’t know I have chickens up here yet... but man was that nerve-wracking! Yes they can climb walls like you wouldn’t believe... and once they find food will keep coming back until it’s all gone.
