Inside a chicken's belly
Okay, near the beginning of August, one of my chicks, about eight weeks old then, got an odd sickness that started out with only sneezing and a little wheezing. About a month later I found her shivering, just skin and bones, underneath a small box-container. She seemed to gasp for breath, and gurgled, or crackled a lot. After three days of her seeming to get better, she died.

Now my entire flock sneezes quite a bit, and the leader, Georgia, has been wheezing a lot. She has a lot of watery discharge from her nostrils, as well as a couple other chickens. Today she is fairly listless.

Please, if you know what this is, tell me. I couldn't stand loosing another chicken.

no matter how you deal with this rep issue

your survivers will be carriers and will pass it not only to off spring but to new additions

only real solution to this is cull the lot and disinfect the whole area coops everything and start again

its a a no chicken in or out situation till you loose the infected one and disinfect

We only have hens, and aren't planning to add anymore any time soon, thanks.

Culling is not an option for us. My brother is only 7 years old, and would be completely traumatized.

Any other ways that dont involve culling?
