Lost a lot of my chicks! Help

I definitely agree with this advice. Deal with your current situation before adding more.

What is the "medication" in your feed? In the US the vast majority of medicated feed contains amprolium. It's a thiamine blocker that helps control coccidiosis. It does nothing for respiratory illnesses.

Feeding medicated (with amprolium) is only an issue with chicks vaccinated for coccidiosis. It does not interfere with any other vaccines.
So to deal with my problem do I get rid of them?? Start over? If they'e infected there carries right? So I'm doomed?

I would Try to get my money for the Chicks being shipped...Respiratory is contagious and makes your Birds carriers even if they survive.
Time to get control of what's happening before ever thinking of getting new ones..
They gave me a partial refund since I lost a bunch. But not all. The chicks were over 150 dollars.. how do I get control? Once they'e infected isn' t that a done deal??

A picture above of a reddish color chick ...that chick looks like it could be showing signs of Coccidiosis.
Unfortunately the medicated feed does not alway prevent it.

95 is too hot IMO for that many chicks in that small of a brooder.

Depends on what you think doomed is?....Mine have ILT...Did not cull but management is more..Only lost one this year....Its all about care, feed and management..I have expensive Birds..$400 invested..Only 6 Hens and a Rooster..This years Pullet..

There are three brooders. Due to the illness. The silkies temp is at 80. That's the ones with the fake grass.. The other one , the red light was at 95.. Now it's at 90. But I am losing another yellow as we speak. I tried the yogurt and put the medicine in. We will see if it works.

Will the sick ones get others sick after quarantine? Will I get eggs still?

hmm...This is hard to explain but Chickens carry disease and come out at times of stress..Too many people don't understand how dirty Chickens are and how easily diseases transfer to flocks..
