I've walked that same road many times... my sincere, heartfelt condolences for your loss. When I lose one of my dear friends, I try to make sure to give their housemates some extra love and attention in that friend's honor, and if at all possible, I try to bring in another animal who needs a loving, forever home. So many in need, so few homes. I can't help them all, but I help all I can. When you tell your daughter, share the pain and the smiles, but most of all the wonderful memories.
