Im not sure it was pretty hot, but not as hot as out there. I guess ill have to start building something else tomorrow Hopefully they will be ok tonight.

I have two big pekin ducks in there-youd think they would have killed it!???

I don't think so! My ducks and chickens have always lived together well, peacefully ignoring each other.

I would replace your chicken wire with hardware cloth. The only thing chicken wire does is keep chickens in. Everything that wants your chickens will easily chew through chicken wire. Also- I would make sure you have a solid floor, whether at ground level, or if you bring it up a couple of feet. You may even consider laying down hardware cloth below the solid floor to make it harder to access.

Thank you for the reply-ill have to change it up. I just had it open during the day where that chicken wire is, but im guessing thats what happened also

Raccoons can stick their hands in and grab them but the raccoon would have taken the chicken. Could be cannibalism never know until you catch the thing in the act. Check your chickens more often.

Oh haha! That makes more sense...sorry for my tired brain! Yeah, it depends on the bird. I know a lot of ducks and chickens will kill snakes, but my flock completely ignores snakes. I have watched a snake slither in to get water then slither back out with hens all around...but I have also seen my chickens tear mice to shreds and I'm sure they would do the same to a snake if it posed a threat.
