Lost another hybrid

Have you had any of your dead hens necropsied to be sure they are dying of salpingitis? Had they passed lash eggs or lash material before dying? If caught early and treated with antibiotics, life can be extended. I am sorry for your losses.

Being our 3rd to die this way, and the evidence of the past deaths, and the necropsy we had done, I'm positive it was salpingitis. Thanks!
 
Like the previous said, the only way to keep them from dying is antibiotics before it gets too bad. Are these mixes separate from your other birds? They could be prone to salpingitis, but I've never heard that RIs are prone. Is this thread supposed to be informational about possible RI mixes being prone or asking for help?
