Lost chicken

Hello! I have not posted in a while but, I’m in a panic, because my hen went missing today. It was only dusk when I realized she was gone from the flock. I looked everywhere on my house, even places where my chickens like to hang out at but no sign of her clucking. I’ve told my parents about the situation and they said that’s she’s probably out there somewhere broody. I’m hoping a predator hasn’t picked her up yet. I still want to thank you guys so so much for the love and support y’all have given me. It is truly a blessing to be in a supportive community with the same passions and interests as me. Stay safe.

I had a hen that went broody last year and disappeared for over 24 hours in the woods. While there's maybe not much, there's still a little hope.

It's been a while since you posted.
Has she shown back up?
Maybe shake a can that has some feed or treats in it and call her.
Hopefully she's hiding on a nest somewhere and will reappear.

Update: I saw her this morning! She was broody! The weather was so bad these past few days so I was very worrisome. I heard a noise this morning and I saw her outside. I don’t know where her nest is at but she definitely has a good nest. No predators got her yet. I’m so happy she’s alive! Also thank you for your concern.

Update: I saw her this morning! She was a broody moody hen. I was worried because the weather was so awful this week. Yet her broody self managed to survive. I’m so happy I got to see her again. I don’t know where her nest is at but it sure is a good nest. Thank you very much for cheering me up

That is wonderful news. I had a hen who made a nest in our big barn across the road. She was gone for 7 weeks, and came back close to the coop with her 7 baby chicks one day. Good luck with your broody and hopefully new chicks.

Thank you I got to se her again this morning which was surprising!! She sure was in her broody moody state. I don’t know how she managed to survive. That’s probably just mama power. Though thank you again for being so kind!
