Lost hen found

That's so cool.

I lost a hen about two weeks ago. She was gone FOUR days. I figured she was Raptor Buffet (as I've had a number of losses recently to Hawk.) Low and behold she turned up one morning looking none the worse for wear. I looked everywhere for her (or what was left of her) for two days and then gave up.

I still don't know where she was - but I was sure happy to see her!!

This hen had gotten in a hole that ran back a couple of feet.

We had removed four bales before she came into view

. As best as we can remember she was in there for 6 days

. Fine tonight so she should be OK. Last time we lost a hen she was a banty who returned weeks later with nine chicks in tow!!
