LOST!!!!! I had 2 call ducks run off on me today.... *UPDATE-CAUGHT*

they're probably feasting on frogs.......when I found them and walked up to the pool I hears so many little froggy croaks and splashes....lol

Hopefully I'll be able to figure something out tomorrow to catch them....

In situations like this when my ducks or chickens get somewhere where I can't get them my dog Winston gets them for me. He's a Boston Terrier he sorta herds them to me.

well the pool actually still has a cover on it...its just full of water and has plants growing on it and everything.....lol foster would run right out onto it and probably fall right through...lol

Frustrating as it is you do sound releived that you know where they are and are able to laugh now. Hope you catch them soon.

I also use the wire idea. Herd them toward the unrolled wire and when they go in roll it in until they do not have much room to move. Pick them up and put them in a carrier and HEAD HOME.

ok, so...I didn't have time to try to catch the buggers yesterday....but when I woke up this morning I heard lots of quacking from the shed so I went to investigate and everything seemed normal with the 3 in there...no sign of the renegades......until I started walking back to the house and heard quiet quacking NOT from the shed.........walk around the shed and guess who's there! Of course they promptly ran down into the stream......BUT they obviously know where the other ducks are! I put some food inside the shed and hopefully they will end up in there where I can trap them and get them into the coop!
