My 10 week old golden laced Polish, Elvis, a pullet (long story about the name) did not wake up today. She had been paralyzed for at least two weeks and was in the house isolated and being given lots of TLC. Sadly although she seemed to be recovering, she started getting very lethargic a few days ago. We will plant a fruit tree on her grave when we get back later this week.
So sad to loose her, I really thought she might make it. She had started chatting and clucking and loved being around everyone, even though she could not move her left side.
Its a very sad day.
