I'm so sorry. I remember the thread showing the hatch. It is hard to lose one. BUT....there is a possibility that it got separated from family and could show up tomorrow morning. I've seen many posts where that has happened.

I had a hen that didn't come home from free ranging one night and I was sure something had gotten her because I searched all over high and low for her. Even well into dark with flashlights and could not find her. I called and called. I went to bed crying because it was my first loss and she had just turned one year old that day. Next morning there she was waiting outside coop like nothing ever happened. I think she just went on an overnight drunken birthday binge.

I've said a little prayer that Lucky will still be lucky and show up tomorrow morning.

This is one of the reasons I have the set up I do as I do not have a bator and only do natural hatches with a hen and keep them together after the hatch (so do not separate ) ... I try to combine the "best" of both methods (with momma and without) by using the following system (see pic) where the chickies are protected from such things as the other birds attacking them (which is common enough) and one getting left behind while ranging or lost... I do not let them out of their setup till they are five weeks at least altho mamma hen can come and go as she pleases):

i love the set up. I'm guessing mom can 'fly' or hop in and out but babies are confined? is there ever a problem with mama landing on a baby on reentry?

The cage also has a side door ... At first I usually must MAKE mama go out (literally taking her out of the cage for a half hour in the morning and evening) but I will shut it it later on when they are able to follow her out... when circumstances permit I will often move them to the brooder hutch set up (see pic) earlier (after three weeks ) where where they normally stay anyway after five weeks (if the weather is chilly and rainy I will enclose them) until they feel safe enough with the other birds to go in with the rest... Keeping them in the coop with the other adult birds (in my situation at any rate) has NOT been successful which is why I set this up to prevent pecking accidents with the other adult birds:
