Don't know what happened. Last night I change my routine for some reason. I have a little toddler playhouse I keep them in at night with garden fence around an area of our backyard. I put the 2 pekings in the pen and put gate to where the welshies could get out into backyard if they wanted. The pekings are too nice to the younger ones. I keep them separated if not supervised.
Anyways this morning I wake up and 2 pekings are on back porch, which was strange for they normally cannot get out pen, but since I changed how the gate was they could fit though. Then I notice one dead ducky buttercup in backyard, so sad she was my favorite. My first thought was Pekings got out and killed her somehow. But upon searching I cannot find the other 2, so that leaves me to believe coyote, fox or something got in backyard and took off with the other 2. I don't see much in way of struggle. We do have a 6 foot privacy fence but I suppose they could get over that. Well tonight our dog sleeps outside in case they decide to come back for the other 2. Unfortantely it was cool here last night and we had our windows closed, for I am sure we would heard a mad ruckus last night.
It is just so sad for the welshies would come up and eat out of hands if we had treats and kids loved them. I wish I would have kept them locked in their house, don't know why I changed up the routine. We just never had any issues for the past 3 months that the pekings have been on their own.
