Lost my best steer calf.

I have a question but im not sure someone maybe had asked allready, but did you save the meat? i would imagine it would still be fine right?

I did not try to save the meat. I figured with a full body hit the meat would be bruised real bad and not worth eating. I tried to find a lady on craigslist that feeds raw diet to her dogs but she could not get back to me soon enough. so i loaded him up and took him to the rendering plant.

Was the calf a Brahma or Brahma cross?
And i'm so sorry about your loss,

He was was weaned already right?

Don't ask me how it has been two days and i still cant find where he got out. we have 2 pastures and i keep the cattle in the back pasture away from the road. But he got out at around 9pm and was hit and killed in the road. Are home owners is going to pay for him and to fix the Ladies truck. I thank God the lady was not hurt she was just shaken and crying about killing the calf.
He was 6 months old and 600+lbs. I wanted to keep him and raise him for freezer next year. He was on the way of passing up his older brother In the picture below.

He was cross he was out of this bull,( Best bull ever) I still have 2 of his other calves. and my brahma cow this was him at birth
