Lost my first baby chick yesterday....

We just bought 6 chicks on Saturday and lost one over night...sad.
I thought it was a little small but the store said it was fine. Going to get a replacement today sop the other babies will accept it early.

Thank you, the other 5 seem fine. They are eating and drinking and running around too. It was hard to lose one the first weekend but the kids and I will get over it today when I get a replacement.

Glad the rest of the chicks are happy and doing fine, it is hard to lose the little ones, it is amazing how fast you get attached to them... hopefully the new chick will fit right in and everyone will be happy.

Sadly it seems if a chick is going to pass on, they seem to so it early. Some may have internal problems or deficiencies that aren't obvious when they are hatched.
