YES, a predator will be back day after day until they're not able to feed...... i had a hawk that stayed for a week after getting a 3 week old chick.... we interupted it's meal when we got home so i don't know if they eat bones too..... it did eat the entire head before we scared it off... i got some bird netting from amazon to cover the run and have not had a problem since...... if it was a daytime attack i would suspect some type of bird, hawk, eagle etc..... good luck...
