Well, we got our first egg yesterday. My two year old was convinced it had a baby chicken inside, lol. Wouldn't believe me no matter what I said! I put it in an egg carton up on the bread box where I THOUGHT she wouldn't be able to get to it. While I was on the phone with my mom, she pushed a chair over, climbed up on the counter, and went to liberate the baby chicken. After she broke it open and realized that I was right (and there was no chick!) she decided to go ahead and eat part of the yolk. Kids
(She's a strange one, she'll also eat flour and ground coffee if she gets her hands on it!)
Oh well, plenty more to come, right?

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
