Lost my little duckling...

A view days ago i noticed that my duckling wasn`t eating. I know this is a bad sign. I went to the vet and yes, he had a pneumonia...:-(
The vet gave him a shot Baytril and some tablets to go. Also some food (which i had to give him with an injection without the needle).

Unfortunately it didn`t work. This morning he died in my arms while i was taking him outside. It was heartbreaking. The other muscovy`s came running over to see what was happening. It looked as if they where saying goodbye.

This is the second time i loose a duckling like this and it still hurts like hell...!!

Awww, that's too bad and so sad. He looks like he got pretty big though. I hope he enjoyed his life, though it was short.

Thanks Darlene..., he had become 7 weeks. And yes, he had a beautiful (short) life. It`s amazing how much you get to love them in such a short time!
