Lost my mallard hen

yesterday I found my mallard hen dead.. It looks like she got out again and tried to get back in her pen and strangled her self in my fence... I feel really horrible because I let my ducks out and didn't notice she wasn't there and also her mate took his time coming out which is unusual for any of my ducks... I found her when I penned them up and fed... If I had only looked where my drake was earlier I may have found her...

today I will be redoing there fence to try to make it safer... They have been inside this pen for a year and I never had any problems..

OMG! i am so sorry for your loss its almost harder when you have nothing to blame at least then you could be cursing a coon

I only have 6 ducks and 2 geesse, and sometimes when I'm walking to the park I don't notice that they aren't all with me. It happens and you can't blame yourself. I'm so sorry this happened. <hugs>
