Lost my Roo today

Thank you for all the responses. I'm keeping the girls in their coop over the weekend until my husband gets home from drill. Then he and his friend are planning on setting an ambush. I hadn't considered a fox or coyote. It does make sence, and I've heard coyotes at the back of the property. I was thinking a bobcat since I know one has taken some of my neighbors during the day. It's pretty bold, will do it when they are outside and everything, which is why it was my first thought. I will not let them back outside though until my husband and his friend show me proof that they are safe! Luckily they both have a bit of time off next week. And heck if that doesn't work, I also have a friend that's a taxidermist and she's always looking for places to get new things to stuff to show off!

Sorry for your loss

I lost my Roo two days ago! My ♥ is broke! Today I am buying a humane trap...since I think my culprit is a Coon. Maybe you could try the same, keep your chickens secured and it will come back looking for them...but leave only the baited trap and see if you can trap him before he gets anymore.
