Lost one of my fav. Hens

Found her dead IN her cage (4'x6' chain link side,steel roof) missing her head. No other visible trauma. Im thinking coon as they are able to grasp their pray. Sad day, her roo hasnt sang all dau, I think hes in morning.

Poor chicky! It could have been a coon that climbed over or a small possum because young possum can get through chain link fence. I would at least upgrade the lower portion of the fence to hardware cloth to prevent a repeat offender!
