I am so sorry. That is just heartbreaking.

Did you sell many hatching eggs to people? Maybe some of them will have eggs from your birds' progeny that you can get and rebuild your flock with the same lines as those you lost. Those poor babies!

We only have parakeets in the house, but the kids are always asking, when we have a tornado warning or they worry about any other disaster what we'd do about the parakeets. All of our chickens are in various coops outside, so less likely to have a problem, no electricity to their coops and they're on a hill so no flooding.

Wow. That would be so painful. I really feel for you. I can't imagine what you're going through, but sending cyber hugs to you.

Shannon,

Words cannot express how very sorry I am for you and all of your baby losses--I have lots of birds- laying eggs-look at my sig line and if you see something you like let me know and I can send eggs too as a new start-my gift to you and your family! I will send you as many as you want!!! Oh Im just so sorry

I can't imagine what you are going through right now. Hopefully you will be able to track down some offspring of your birds. It could never replace them, but would be nice to have some relatives of your babies to help you heal.

Again, I really don't know what to say, except that I will be thinking of you. I think this is everyone's worst nightmare, and it is just not right.
